SIDS Hospital offers multiple level training for Gastro intestinal Surgery offering Fellowship Observer ship under eminent Surgical Gastroenterologist Dr Dhaval Mangukiya. Training gastro intestinal surgery at the high volume centre for GI, HPB, advanced laparoscopic surgery & Endoscopy with comprehensive care.

  • Name of the course: Observership in GI and Minimal Access Surgery
  • Course Director: Dr. Dhaval Mangukiya (MS, DMAS – France, IHPBA Fellow HPB Surgery, Fellow GI & HPB Cancer Surgery)
  • Duration of the Course: 7 Days observership
  • Eligibility criteria for admission: MS (General Surgery) or DNB ( General Surgery ) or FNB (Minimal Access Surgery) or DNB /MCh (GI Surgery)
  • Number of Seats: 1
  • Timing of course: Second week of every month (Sunday to Saturday)
  • Selection Process: One candidate per week will be selected for each course. Selection will be based on performance at personal interview / e mail conversations /telephonic interview.
  • Curriculum of course : Understanding Gastrointestinal diseases with its basic knowledge, Basics of advanced laparoscopic surgery, 3D Laparoscopy and various GI Surgical procedures, along with comprehensive knowledge of GI Radiology,
    GI Pathology & GI Critical Care.
    Basic training of Laparoscopic recording /Video editing / Multimedia usage / Publishing / Poster & Paper writing.
  • Course Fees : Rs.25,000/-.
  • Exclusion : Accomodation.
  • Inclusion : Breakfast & lunch.

    Weekly seminars and presentations on regular basis.
    Conference Registratoin and presentations (GI Surgery conferences like IASG / IHPBA / ASICON / AMASICON).
    Writing of Research paper and publication.

  • Inclusion : Monthly Stypend of Rs: 65,000/-. Every day Breakfast & lunch.
